The Surf Cat herself, Spain Fischer, has been working on costumes for several years now under several different costume companies. She earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Central Florida in Arts in Animation. She has a wide variety of costume and art mediums in her range of experience and considers every costume a personal challenge and goal; treating each as a work of art.

She lives with her roommates and three cats in sunny central Florida.
