Before you consider a costume from us, please take some time to learn about the ordering process:

Things You Need BEFORE Submitting for a Quote:

  1. 3 view conceptual art of your desired character. (This must be PG in nature. No exceptions. Need concept art? Visit the Concept Artists page)
  2. 30% deposit of your final quote (usually a $200-650 range)
  3. Full description of “your vision” of the completed costume.
  4. An understanding of when you would prefer your costume completed. (Note: Not all requests can be granted)

Submitting a Quote

Once you have acquired everything listed above, please feel free to use our submission form below. When you fill out all necessary fields please allow at least 5 business days for a response. You will either get a quote within 5 days, or if more information is needed from you, we will inform you of such.

Accepting a Quote

If you have received your quote and wish to continue with our services, a 30% deposit will be required. You will have 2 weeks time to pay the deposit. During the two weeks your desired slot of completion will be saved. However, if you cannot make the payment within the 2 weeks, your desired spot will released and may be taken by other customers.

Please note that quotes are only good for 30 days. If you decide to proceed more than 30 days after receiving a quote, please request a new quote.

Payment Information

Once your 30% deposit is paid, you have until 30 days before your completion date/month to pay your entire costs. For example, if your month of completion is the month of September, the payment needs to be in by September 1st. However, if your completion date is more specific, say, September 15th, your payment would need to be in by August 15th.

We do take increments for payments at any time between your 30% deposit and your payment deadline, though we do ask that all payment installments be at least $100. Any time you pay us, please follow up with an email stating your payment, how much, and what method you used to pay. We will verify the payment and let you know we received it along with how much you paid, and the remaining total you owe.

Surf Cat Costumes takes many forms of payment! Currently we accept checks, money orders, concealed cash, and Paypal. Please note that a 5% paypal fee will apply to each payment.

Month of Completion

Once you have fully paid by your payment deadline, we will begin making your costume. This process requires very little participation from you, though we may contact you with small inquires on your costume. Please note that we do NOT provide in-progress pictures for customers. No exceptions.

Once your costume is completed we will send you reference photos. If everything is satisfactory we will mail out your costume via UPS. Please make sure that if you would rather not have your costume pictures posted before your desired event that we are informed of this well before your costume is complete.
